Brad Utter attended Saint Ambrose University for a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. His experience includes more than 13 years of high risk armed security and protective services and he serves as our President and Director of Operations. Brad Utter served as a Police Officer in Clarence, Iowa for nearly 6 years and maintains close ties to the law enforcement community. His training over the years encompasses a  variety of topics that includes but is not limited to: Criminal Investigation, W-Z Reid Method of Criminal Interview and Interrogation, Midwest Counterdrug Training Centers - High Risk Event Planning, Level 1 and 2, Midwest Counterdrug Training Centers - Electronic Surveillance School and Physical Surveillance School, Anti-Terrorism for Law Enforcement, Community Emergency Response, and numerous  other law enforcement and security subject matter.

As President he serves many governmental, quasi-governmental and fortune 500 clients and guides the overall direction and operation of GSS. Mr. Utter’s expertise includes high risk armed security and protective services, special event planning and coordination, criminal and civil investigation, surveillance systems design, installation, and maintenance and is expert in security related matters.

Scott Utter graduated from Saint Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. His experience includes more than 13 years of  high risk armed security and protective services and is our Vice President and NRA Certified Law Enforcement Firearms instructor; Oleoresin Capsicum and Expandable Police Baton instructor and is state certified instructor in Iowa , Illinois , and Wisconsin. For nearly 6 years, Scott served as a Police Officer in Clarence, Iowa. Scott's training over the years also includes Criminal Investigation, W-Z Reid Method of Criminal Interview and Interrogation, Midwest Counterdrug Training Centers - High Risk Event Planning, Level 1 and 2, Anti-Terrorism for Law Enforcement, Community Emergency Response, Animal Abuse Investigations as well as numerous other law enforcement and security subject matters.

As Vice President he serves many governmental, quasi-governmental and fortune 500 clients including the Social Security Administration, US Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Courthouse, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and Toy’s R Us to name a few and is NBFAA certified level I, II, and III and NTS’s NICET equivalent. Mr. Utter provides various administrative functions including but not limited to collaborating with project managers to ensure contract compliance within the defined scope of work, ensuring quality control standards are strictly adhered to and many other administrative functions. Mr. Utter’s expertise includes intrusion detection, access control, fire, and surveillance systems design, installation, and maintenance and is recognized by Iowa District Court as an expert in electronic security.

Stephen Kirkman is a veteran of the United State Marine Corps where his electric security experience began. Mr. Kirkman has more than 15 years of expertise spanning intrusion detection, access control, fire, and surveillance systems design, installation, maintenance and service for a range of governmental and fortune 500 clients. Examples include the Social Security Administration, US Army Corps of Engineers, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and Toy’s R Us to name just a few. Mr. Kirkman is NBFAA certified level I, II, and III and NTS’s NICET equivalent. In addition, Mr. Kirkman has experience coaching and training field installation and service technicians as well as performing administrative functions such as collaboratively working with project managers and/or contractors to coordinate installations and service as well as ensuring contract compliance within the defined scope of work. Mr. Kirkman also serves in a law enforcement capacity and his training over the years encompasses a  variety of topics that includes but is not limited to: Criminal Investigation, W-Z Reid Method of Criminal Interview and Interrogation, Anti-Terrorism for Law Enforcement, Patrol Techniques, and numerous other law enforcement and security subject matters.
